B & A Digging are locally owned and operated. All aspects of earthworks have been undertaken by the company, from walking track development, house sites, plumbing and drainage, landscaping, remediation works, sports fields and vineyard development.

We bring a wealth of skill and experience and an array of plant and equipment to ensure that we successfully complete any earthworks project on time and on budget.

We can complete small and large projects with maximum efficiency and timeliness at a competitive rate. We ensure that the operators understand the client requirements during the whole process.

We have a fleet of modern machinery including diggers from 1.5 ton to 20 ton, skid steer loaders (posi-tracks) with attachments, loaders, rollers, compactors, augers, onsite screen and access to graders and bulldozers. We also have a fleet of modern trucks, tip trucks and truck and trailer units.

Safety and the environment are both important factors to our business. We ensure health, safety and welfare of our workforce, our clients and the environment, through our comprehensive health and safety policy, site briefings and staff awareness training.

What we do:

Site Excavation: We are able to clear residential and commercial sites and prep ready for build.  We landscape sections, lawn prep, excavate service trenches, construct digger stack rock walls, retaining walls and prepare driveways for surfacing.  We also cart any kind of aggregate throughout Central Otago.  Our team have extensive experience and are efficient and safety conscious.  They follow our safety guidelines and the safety guidelines of the worksite.  Give us a call and we can tailor your requirements.

Section Clearing: Nothing too big or too small.  We have a range of machinery that can be suited to any section.

Earthmoving: We provide earthmoving for both residential and commercial clients in the area.  We can deal with demolition, site works, roading, cartage, rock excavation, digger stack rock walls, retaining walls and provide gravel and soil materials if required.

Driveway Preparation: A good driveway starts with a proper base.  We scrape, level and compact the area ready for preferred surface.  We can provide gravel and soil materials.  We’ve also worked alongside other companies providing concrete, asphalt etc.

Lawn Preparation: We can prepare your section for lawn.  We have a range of machinery capable of preparing small or large areas ready for seed, spray or ready lawn turf.  Give us a call for your landscaping around your new home.

Landscaping:  Excavation earthworks aren’t our only specialty.  We’ve completed large scale gabion basket walls, retaining walls and large-scale pebble walking paths, stack stone rock walls, lawn levelling preparation and ready lawn, gardens and feature mounds, paths and driveways.
